SAMBA allows you to share files with different computers over a network. Setting this up will make it easier to add games to your RetroPie system or adjust other settings.
This step is optional – there are other methods of adding games, and if you are unlikely to do much customisation, you can skip this step if you want, or come back to it later.
In the Finder, go to menu
In the box that comes up, type
It will then ask you to enter the name and password, but you can just click
You will then be asked which volumes you wish to mount. If you want to add games, then main one we’re interested at the moment is
In the Finder, you will see a list of several folders. Each representing a different platform that the RetroPie can Emulate. Most of these are fairly self explanatory.

Go > Connect to Server... or press ⌘ + KIn the box that comes up, type
smb://retropie and then press the Connect button.
