Microtan 65

Launch 1979
Launch 1982

“Like many microcomputers of the time, the **Microtan 65** was available in kit form, so you could build it yourself, or as a pre-assembled unit. The system was based on the **MOS 6502** and was introduced by **Tangerine**, who would later go on to create the [Oric-1 and Oric Atmos](https://ramokromok.com/platforms/oric/) computers.

## Emulating
The best [standalone emulator for the Microtan 65 was created by Geoff Macdonald](http://www.geoff.org.uk/microtan/using_the_emulator.htm), and is available for Windows. Although written twenty years ago, it runs fine on Windows 10.

No standalone Mac OS emulators for the Microtan 65 seem to exist.
