Manic Miner comes to Playdate

Eighties-8-bit legend, Manic Miner has been converted to Panic’s Playdate handheld. Manic Miner was originally launched on the ZX Spectrum by Matthew Smith in 1983. In the platform game, you play as Miner Willy and have to go through twenty caverns, where you need to collect all the objects before moving to the next cavern. Manic Miner comes to Playdate

Amiga gets two new unofficial Arcade ports: Tapper and Galaxian

The Amiga has been blessed with some top quality arcade ports in recent months (as an example, take a look at Xevious), and now we’ve got a few more with the classic shooter, Galaxian and bartender simulator, Tapper. Galaxian 500​ Like Xevious, Galaxian was transcoded, which means that the original code was disassembled and reverse-engineered, Amiga gets two new unofficial Arcade ports: Tapper and Galaxian

Beebchase – The BBC Micro gets its own version of Deathchase

Chris Bradburne has made a BBC Micro conversion of Deathchase, the ZX Spectrum game by Mervyn Estcourt. Deathchase was originally released in 1983. It is a first-person vehicular combat that involves the player controlling a motorcycle and chasing down enemy bikers while avoiding obstacles in a forest environment. The game was published by British software Beebchase – The BBC Micro gets its own version of Deathchase
