Rasmus Moustgaard ports Atic Atac to the TI-99/4a

Classic ZX Spectrum game, Atic Atac, has been ported to the TI-99/4a by Rasmus Moustgaard.

Moustgaard has created and ported many games to the Texas Instruments machine including a version of Pinball Dreams and Through the Trapdoor

He says “The sprites have been converted to hardware sprites for performance reasons and elimination of color splash. It’s still not as fast as on the Spectrum, but I find it more playable at this speed. If you would like to see how it looks with software sprites and ZX Spectrum colour attributes, you can download atic-atac-zx-8.bin. “

Atic Atac is a classic action-adventure arcade game released by Ultimate Play the Game (later known as Rare) in 1983 for the ZX Spectrum. In the game, the player navigates a haunted castle to find a mysterious artifact, the “Atic Atac.” The game features maze-like levels filled with enemies and traps, and players must collect keys to unlock doors and progress.
