Animetic Story Game 1: Cardcaptor Sakura
PlayStation

Released on August 5, 1999 for the PlayStation, Animetic Story Game – Cardcaptor Sakura (アニメチックストーリーゲーム (1) カードキャプターさくら, Animechikku Sutōrī Gēmu (1) Kādokyaputā Sakura) covers the whole anime storyline in its first season. The company responsible for developing the game was Arika, launching the game only in Japan. Awesome 2D isometric graphics were implemented in this game, bringing a variety of colors and exciting shapes. The characters, unlike the scenery, did not receive such great detail, but also have very well made sprites that resemble the famous Japanese chibis.

Another element that makes this adventure epic is the audio during the dialogues. All the lines are played by the voices of the series’ voice actors. Some scenes of the anime have also been put to give more life to the plot, making the game that reproduces the adventures of the Cardcaptors with more fidelity.

The interaction between the player and the game is mainly through mini games, where you will have to deflect lightning, play the master sent, skate around the city, play tug of war, among many other things. If you do not want to follow the whole story of Sakura, just play in Score Attack mode to test your performance in mini games. You can also see your luck through cards. However, the biggest advantage of playing in Story mode is to collect coins to trade for pieces of game art, such as pictures, audio, and some clips that can not be checked normally in this mode.

The disc for the PlayStation 1 was also compatible with the Pocket Station.
