Thursday, May 28, 1987, Helsinski Airport, Finland. It is 12:20, the control tower authorizes a Cessna 172B to take off. The flight plan calls for arrival in Stockholm, Sweden.

Moscow (USSR), the same day 7 hours later. A red and white Cessna lands in the middle of the red square in front of Saint Basil’s cathedral. Getting off the plane, Mathias Rust, a young computer scientist of 19 years old, who has just achieved the feat of the year. He has indeed made a journey of more than 1,000 kilometers, pushing his aircraft to the maximum of its capacities, avoiding the Soviet Migs who do not like too much that they come to violate their airspace with impunity.
