Play Game Boy games on the Playdate with Gamekid

If you’ve managed to get your hands on Panic’s yellow handheld, Playdate, then you may be interested in Gamekid – an emulator for Game boy games built for the system.

Gamekid was developed by Dustin Mierau and is based on the GB emulator, Peanut GB. As the Playdate is monochrome, the shades of grey are simulated using dither patterns, but due to the high resolution of the Playdate, this works pretty well.
