Raspberry Pi 4
Lakka has been updated to version 2.3, and features new cores, platforms and RetroArch 1.7.8.
Features of RetroArch 1.7.8 include the ability to play and dump game discs for 3DO, PlayStation, Saturn and Mega CD; and real-time game translation for games. Ideal for all you JRPG fans.
The latest Lakka also now officially supports the Raspberry Pi 4, but recommend upgrading the firmware and adding a heatsink before using Lakka on the device.
Those of you with a Retroflag GPi case are also in luck. In case you’re not aware, the GPi case is a hand-held Game Boy inspired device where you can shove a Raspberry Pi Zero inside and emulate a bunch of games. Lakka now provide a dedicated image for GPi users, which automates input mapping and safe-shutdown.
The ROCKPro64 also now has official stable Lakka support.
Lakka has also updated the following cores: Mupen64Plus-Next (combined version of ParaLLEl-N64 and Mupen64Plus), Flycast, Bsnes and Final Burn Neo.
