Mahjong is a tile-based game from China. The game is several hundred years old, but the advantage of the computerised version is that you don’t need to set up the 144 tiles.
Mah Jongg is based on a solitaire variant of the game, where the aim is to remove all of the tiles from the board. You do this by finding a pair of tiles – but each tile must have at least one horizontal side ‘free’.
There are 18 different starting layouts (known as ‘dragons’) for the tiles, to keep things interesting.
Gerhard Rittenhofer’s version of the game is polished and it looks and plays nice. How much you like this game though, all depends on how much you like Mahjong I guess.
